Narrative:
Aircraft struck a baggage cart while taxiing in to the gate parking spot; while under control of 3 ramp marshallers. Lead marshaller continued to signal us in even after the aircraft struck the cart. He was obviously unaware that there was an obstacle on the right (first officer's) side of the aircraft. The wing and winglet on the right side of the aircraft struck the baggage cart and sustained damage. There were 2 marshallers on either side of the aircraft -- all had lighted wands. The captain and I felt the thump when the aircraft struck the cart. Although the right side marshaller made signals after the strike that he had signaled the lead to stop before we hit the cart; that is unknown to me. It appeared to be either a miscom between the 2 marshallers; or the lead was not looking at the right side marshaller to ensure clearance of obstacles.

Title: A TAXIING CRJ COLLIDED WITH A BAGGAGE CART IN THE GATE AREA WHILE BEING MARSHALLED AND MONITORED BY WING WALKERS.
Narrative: ACFT STRUCK A BAGGAGE CART WHILE TAXIING IN TO THE GATE PARKING SPOT; WHILE UNDER CTL OF 3 RAMP MARSHALLERS. LEAD MARSHALLER CONTINUED TO SIGNAL US IN EVEN AFTER THE ACFT STRUCK THE CART. HE WAS OBVIOUSLY UNAWARE THAT THERE WAS AN OBSTACLE ON THE R (FO'S) SIDE OF THE ACFT. THE WING AND WINGLET ON THE R SIDE OF THE ACFT STRUCK THE BAGGAGE CART AND SUSTAINED DAMAGE. THERE WERE 2 MARSHALLERS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE ACFT -- ALL HAD LIGHTED WANDS. THE CAPT AND I FELT THE THUMP WHEN THE ACFT STRUCK THE CART. ALTHOUGH THE R SIDE MARSHALLER MADE SIGNALS AFTER THE STRIKE THAT HE HAD SIGNALED THE LEAD TO STOP BEFORE WE HIT THE CART; THAT IS UNKNOWN TO ME. IT APPEARED TO BE EITHER A MISCOM BTWN THE 2 MARSHALLERS; OR THE LEAD WAS NOT LOOKING AT THE R SIDE MARSHALLER TO ENSURE CLRNC OF OBSTACLES.
