Narrative:
We received a call from our lead flight attendant that an acrid odor was detected about mid cabin. Upon further evaluation; the captain declared an emergency and I coordination a divert to ZZZ. The captain accomplished the emergency procedures from our QRH and continued communicating with our lead flight attendant. We landed at ZZZ and taxied clear of the runway. Crash fire rescue equipment personnel evaluated the plane from the outside and detected nothing. The lead flight attendant said the odor had dissipated during the descent. We taxied to the gate; unloaded the passenger; and gave the plane to maintenance personnel.
