Narrative:
Cabin log discrepancy detail reads 34L will not recline. Corrective action: checked seat 34L recline; found operating ok. No faults noted. FAA inspector noted this write-up as airworthiness item requiring xfer to main logbook. Item not xferred due seat back write-up was noted as stuck in upright position. Per cabin logbook guidelines form M&east. According to guideline xferring to aircraft logbook only required if seat back will not stay locked in the upright position.

Title: A B767-400 SEAT BACK WAS WRITTEN UP IN THE CABIN LOGBOOK AS 'WILL NOT RECLINE' MAINT SIGNOFF WAS 'CHKS OK.' FAA INSPECTOR SAID THE ITEM SHOULD BE ENTERED IN THE MAIN LOGBOOK.
