Narrative:
On takeoff roll approximately 100 KIAS; loud wind noise heard in cockpit. Investigation revealed first officer window sliding open. Deafening noise; failure (inability) to communicate with other crew and confusion and uncertainty led to abort at 150-160 KIAS. V1 speed calculated at 161 KIAS. Aircraft stopped on runway and taxied clear. Began post abort procedures and taxied back to ramp. After period of cooling; returned to gate. No damage to brakes/tires or blown fuse plugs noted.

Title: B767-400 FLT CREW REJECTED TKOF NEAR V1 DUE TO EXCESSIVE COCKPIT NOISE RESULTING FROM FO'S SLIDING WINDOW OPENING.
Narrative: ON TKOF ROLL APPROX 100 KIAS; LOUD WIND NOISE HEARD IN COCKPIT. INVESTIGATION REVEALED FO WINDOW SLIDING OPEN. DEAFENING NOISE; FAILURE (INABILITY) TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER CREW AND CONFUSION AND UNCERTAINTY LED TO ABORT AT 150-160 KIAS. V1 SPD CALCULATED AT 161 KIAS. ACFT STOPPED ON RWY AND TAXIED CLR. BEGAN POST ABORT PROCS AND TAXIED BACK TO RAMP. AFTER PERIOD OF COOLING; RETURNED TO GATE. NO DAMAGE TO BRAKES/TIRES OR BLOWN FUSE PLUGS NOTED.
