Narrative:
On apr/xa/06; I was assigned to fix a captain's shoulder harness that was locking. We did not have the new harness at the line; so I made the decision to change the captain's seat assembly. The aircraft was a through-flight and boarding was held to quickly swap out the seat. The seat was changed using maintenance manual and the boarding hold was released. The following day; the flight crew wrote up the captain's seat missing 2 life vests. While trying to quickly dispatch the flight; the life vests located behind the captain's seat were not installed on the new seat. I was working another discrepancy on this flight and it was an oversight on my part to not ensure the life vests were swapped to the new seat.
