Narrative:
As we were departing out of dfw; utilizing nobly two RNAV departure we have it loaded in the FMS and reviewed by me and the first officer; we took off from runway 17R and we flew the departure as prescribed till we reached corts waypoint. The FMS dropped the rest of the waypoints beyond that and went directly to visqa waypoint which is part of the flight plan and it comes after lit waypoint instead going to nobly; cobug; ortro; and lit waypoints. As we passed corts waypoint ATC questions us; 'where are you heading?' I respond back to him; after I look at the FMS; to visqa waypoint. ATC responds back; 'aren't you supposed to be going to nobly intersection?' then I looked at my approach plate and I responded back to him; 'the FMS dropped my waypoints;' because I cannot see lit in the FMS and its the transition off the nobly tow RNAV departure. Then he gave me direct to lit. And; 'I am sure it was put in the FMS as we loaded it because you need to have the transition as you load the departure; and lit waypoint is the transition for this departure.' at this point when we were heading direct to lit; we were about 3 miles off course if not less. Then we got a frequency change and as I am checking in with ZFW they advise me I need to contact this number. After I landed; I contacted the center and talked to the supervisor. He just wanted to notify me that they have to file a report to the FSDO so he wanted me to be aware of it. I explained to him the whole situation. He responded that no harm; no foul; but they have to notify the FAA for any deviation for any RNAV departure. It appears to me this aircraft FMS has a problem because as we are coming to dfw; we had a gap between two waypoints and it will not connect and we tried all means to get it to connect and nothing worked so we have to delete the whole flight plan and reloaded it to get it to work as we were in cruise. When we landed; I wrote up the FMS in the aircraft logbook. The corrective action for this situation is to cross check FMS flying versus the approach plate.

Title: E170 FLYING NOBLY RNAV SID LIT TRANSITION FROM DFW LOSES ALL SID AND TRANSITION WAYPOINTS BEYOND CORTS. FMS STEERS DIRECT TO WAYPOINT VISQA WHICH IS FIRST FLT PLAN FIX BEYOND LIT.
Narrative: AS WE WERE DEPARTING OUT OF DFW; UTILIZING NOBLY TWO RNAV DEP WE HAVE IT LOADED IN THE FMS AND REVIEWED BY ME AND THE FO; WE TOOK OFF FROM RWY 17R AND WE FLEW THE DEP AS PRESCRIBED TILL WE REACHED CORTS WAYPOINT. THE FMS DROPPED THE REST OF THE WAYPOINTS BEYOND THAT AND WENT DIRECTLY TO VISQA WAYPOINT WHICH IS PART OF THE FLT PLAN AND IT COMES AFTER LIT WAYPOINT INSTEAD GOING TO NOBLY; COBUG; ORTRO; AND LIT WAYPOINTS. AS WE PASSED CORTS WAYPOINT ATC QUESTIONS US; 'WHERE ARE YOU HEADING?' I RESPOND BACK TO HIM; AFTER I LOOK AT THE FMS; TO VISQA WAYPOINT. ATC RESPONDS BACK; 'AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE GOING TO NOBLY INTXN?' THEN I LOOKED AT MY APCH PLATE AND I RESPONDED BACK TO HIM; 'THE FMS DROPPED MY WAYPOINTS;' BECAUSE I CANNOT SEE LIT IN THE FMS AND ITS THE TRANSITION OFF THE NOBLY TOW RNAV DEP. THEN HE GAVE ME DIRECT TO LIT. AND; 'I AM SURE IT WAS PUT IN THE FMS AS WE LOADED IT BECAUSE YOU NEED TO HAVE THE TRANSITION AS YOU LOAD THE DEP; AND LIT WAYPOINT IS THE TRANSITION FOR THIS DEP.' AT THIS POINT WHEN WE WERE HEADING DIRECT TO LIT; WE WERE ABOUT 3 MILES OFF COURSE IF NOT LESS. THEN WE GOT A FREQ CHANGE AND AS I AM CHKING IN WITH ZFW THEY ADVISE ME I NEED TO CONTACT THIS NUMBER. AFTER I LANDED; I CONTACTED THE CTR AND TALKED TO THE SUPVR. HE JUST WANTED TO NOTIFY ME THAT THEY HAVE TO FILE A RPT TO THE FSDO SO HE WANTED ME TO BE AWARE OF IT. I EXPLAINED TO HIM THE WHOLE SITUATION. HE RESPONDED THAT NO HARM; NO FOUL; BUT THEY HAVE TO NOTIFY THE FAA FOR ANY DEV FOR ANY RNAV DEP. IT APPEARS TO ME THIS ACFT FMS HAS A PROB BECAUSE AS WE ARE COMING TO DFW; WE HAD A GAP BETWEEN TWO WAYPOINTS AND IT WILL NOT CONNECT AND WE TRIED ALL MEANS TO GET IT TO CONNECT AND NOTHING WORKED SO WE HAVE TO DELETE THE WHOLE FLT PLAN AND RELOADED IT TO GET IT TO WORK AS WE WERE IN CRUISE. WHEN WE LANDED; I WROTE UP THE FMS IN THE ACFT LOGBOOK. THE CORRECTIVE ACTION FOR THIS SITUATION IS TO CROSS CHK FMS FLYING VERSUS THE APCH PLATE.
