Narrative:
During preflight at the gate at dfw; the clearance was incorrectly inputted into the FMS. Instead of inputting the SID with the proper transition; the SID was inputted without the proper transition but rather the SID immediately followed with a direct waypoint. I inputted this information incorrectly without my captain confirming it in great enough detail. Once we departed on the SID; the aircraft turned prior to flying to two additional waypoints on the SID with the little rock transition and started flying direct to little rock. We were queried twice by ZFW and were then given a heading that we needed to be on. We figured out our mistake; reprogrammed the FMS and then we were on our way according to the flight plan that we were filed to fly.

Title: FLT CREW OF CARJ ON RNAV SID FROM DFW FAILS TO PROGRAM APPROPRIATE TRANSITION. TRACK DEV RESULTS.
Narrative: DURING PREFLT AT THE GATE AT DFW; THE CLRNC WAS INCORRECTLY INPUTTED INTO THE FMS. INSTEAD OF INPUTTING THE SID WITH THE PROPER TRANSITION; THE SID WAS INPUTTED WITHOUT THE PROPER TRANSITION BUT RATHER THE SID IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED WITH A DIRECT WAYPOINT. I INPUTTED THIS INFO INCORRECTLY WITHOUT MY CAPT CONFIRMING IT IN GREAT ENOUGH DETAIL. ONCE WE DEPARTED ON THE SID; THE ACFT TURNED PRIOR TO FLYING TO TWO ADDITIONAL WAYPOINTS ON THE SID WITH THE LITTLE ROCK TRANSITION AND STARTED FLYING DIRECT TO LITTLE ROCK. WE WERE QUERIED TWICE BY ZFW AND WERE THEN GIVEN A HDG THAT WE NEEDED TO BE ON. WE FIGURED OUT OUR MISTAKE; REPROGRAMMED THE FMS AND THEN WE WERE ON OUR WAY ACCORDING TO THE FLT PLAN THAT WE WERE FILED TO FLY.
