Narrative:
While working combined sectors; I descended the CRJ2 to FL190 just southwest of ape VOR. The C550 was at FL200 about 10 mi east of ape. When the aircraft were about 3 mins apart; I descended the L550 to 16000 ft. At FL197; I caught the situation; climbed the C550 to FL200 and descended the CRJ2 to 15000 ft. But separation was lost.

Title: ZOB CTLR EXPERIENCES OPERROR WHEN DSNDING A REGIONAL JET THROUGH ALT OF C550 WITH LESS THAN REQUIRED LATERAL SEPARATION.
Narrative: WHILE WORKING COMBINED SECTORS; I DSNDED THE CRJ2 TO FL190 JUST SW OF APE VOR. THE C550 WAS AT FL200 ABOUT 10 MI E OF APE. WHEN THE ACFT WERE ABOUT 3 MINS APART; I DSNDED THE L550 TO 16000 FT. AT FL197; I CAUGHT THE SITUATION; CLBED THE C550 TO FL200 AND DSNDED THE CRJ2 TO 15000 FT. BUT SEPARATION WAS LOST.
