Narrative:
During an ILS CAT ii autoland approach to runway 1 at dca; the red autoland warning light on the glareshield illuminated below 100 ft. The aircraft was aligned to the right of the runway centerline; and appeared to begin drifting further right of course. We executed a go-around; and it was during this procedure that it took several attempts to re-engage the nave mode. The missed approach procedure specified a climb to 500 ft then a climbing left turn to 2000 ft. We did begin the turn to the left although it was well after climbing through 500 ft; which in turn positioned us much closer to P56. In the course of the go around; ATC issued instructions of a left turn to heading 270 degrees and a climb to 3000 ft. We subsequently completed an ILS CAT I approach to runway 1 with a manual landing and noted no additional malfunctions.

Title: A319 CAPT EXPERIENCES AUTOLAND WARNING LIGHT ON CAT II AUTOLAND APCH TO DCA; EXECUTED A GAR.
Narrative: DURING AN ILS CAT II AUTOLAND APCH TO RWY 1 AT DCA; THE RED AUTOLAND WARNING LIGHT ON THE GLARESHIELD ILLUMINATED BELOW 100 FT. THE ACFT WAS ALIGNED TO THE RIGHT OF THE RWY CENTERLINE; AND APPEARED TO BEGIN DRIFTING FURTHER RIGHT OF COURSE. WE EXECUTED A GO-AROUND; AND IT WAS DURING THIS PROC THAT IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RE-ENGAGE THE NAVE MODE. THE MISSED APCH PROC SPECIFIED A CLB TO 500 FT THEN A CLBING L TURN TO 2000 FT. WE DID BEGIN THE TURN TO THE L ALTHOUGH IT WAS WELL AFTER CLBING THROUGH 500 FT; WHICH IN TURN POSITIONED US MUCH CLOSER TO P56. IN THE COURSE OF THE GAR; ATC ISSUED INSTRUCTIONS OF A L TURN TO HDG 270 DEGS AND A CLB TO 3000 FT. WE SUBSEQUENTLY COMPLETED AN ILS CAT I APCH TO RWY 1 WITH A MANUAL LNDG AND NOTED NO ADDITIONAL MALFUNCTIONS.
