Narrative:
Immediately after takeoff; the entire ZID sector went down including the tower and departure control at ind. We were unable to contact departure; tower; or center for approximately 10 mins. We then proceeded per the loss of ATC communications procedures specified in the fom. Soon after initiating a climb on course; we finally established communications with ZID and proceeded without further incident. ZID; at that time; suspected a lightning strike had caused the problem.
