Narrative:
On clare departure; somehow the tekbe and poten waypoints were dropped; and after clare; we went direct swb. We verified the waypoints from the chart prior to departure and did not change the runway (17R) at any time. ATC notified us we were off course after clare. We cannot determine how this occurred. We were somewhat distracted en route with a pack malfunction; heading towards a tropical storm; and heading for rsw; which had no usable navaids for apches and right at VFR minimum WX.supplemental information from acn 700041: at no time did we change runways or reselect the SID.
