Narrative:
I was instructed to taxi on taxiway B to runway 10R; clearance did not seem to have my n-number correct. Not familiar with the airport; I made a wrong turn and stopped and was given taxi instructions from tower. I received clearance from tower; VFR; contact center and squawk XXXX. Volume of traffic was very high it appeared; and the controller was extremely busy; my wrong turn and inability to fully understand her directions caused distress on both ends; as her workload was heavy; and I was taking too much of her time. I was cleared for takeoff. I departed; climbed out at about 400 FPM; activated my autoplt; it was somewhat rough and bumpy. I turned the heading bug to approximately 200 degrees and was in the process controling my aircraft; tower gave me a heading of 250 degrees I believe; then; and before I could contact ZMP; center came on and asked the wrong call sign to identify. Somewhat confused; as I felt I had corrected my call sign with fcm clearance; I did comply with the request to identify; and corrected the call sign. Center then asked if I understood class B airspace; and I replied yes; and he said that I was knee deep in it. He then asked what altitude I requested. I responded 6500 ft and I believe he said 'cleared for 6500 ft; VFR on course.' I requested 4500 ft after a short while to get more favorable winds. I continued with flight following to somewhere past sioux falls and center said they were losing me and asked me to squawk VFR which I did. Then as I neared onl; I was contacted by a jet; communicating between ZMP and me; asking if I had landed and if I wanted center to cancel my IFR flight plan. I indicated that I was near O'neill; but had not landed and that I was now on a VFR not IFR flight plan; but to go ahead and tell center to cancel my VFR flight plan. Upon landing I phoned columbus FSS and canceled as well.

Title: C182 PLT ENTERS CLASS B AIRSPACE WITHOUT A CLRNC.
Narrative: I WAS INSTRUCTED TO TAXI ON TXWY B TO RWY 10R; CLRNC DID NOT SEEM TO HAVE MY N-NUMBER CORRECT. NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE ARPT; I MADE A WRONG TURN AND STOPPED AND WAS GIVEN TAXI INSTRUCTIONS FROM TWR. I RECEIVED CLRNC FROM TWR; VFR; CONTACT CTR AND SQUAWK XXXX. VOLUME OF TFC WAS VERY HIGH IT APPEARED; AND THE CTLR WAS EXTREMELY BUSY; MY WRONG TURN AND INABILITY TO FULLY UNDERSTAND HER DIRECTIONS CAUSED DISTRESS ON BOTH ENDS; AS HER WORKLOAD WAS HVY; AND I WAS TAKING TOO MUCH OF HER TIME. I WAS CLRED FOR TKOF. I DEPARTED; CLBED OUT AT ABOUT 400 FPM; ACTIVATED MY AUTOPLT; IT WAS SOMEWHAT ROUGH AND BUMPY. I TURNED THE HDG BUG TO APPROX 200 DEGS AND WAS IN THE PROCESS CTLING MY ACFT; TWR GAVE ME A HDG OF 250 DEGS I BELIEVE; THEN; AND BEFORE I COULD CONTACT ZMP; CTR CAME ON AND ASKED THE WRONG CALL SIGN TO IDENT. SOMEWHAT CONFUSED; AS I FELT I HAD CORRECTED MY CALL SIGN WITH FCM CLRNC; I DID COMPLY WITH THE REQUEST TO IDENT; AND CORRECTED THE CALL SIGN. CTR THEN ASKED IF I UNDERSTOOD CLASS B AIRSPACE; AND I REPLIED YES; AND HE SAID THAT I WAS KNEE DEEP IN IT. HE THEN ASKED WHAT ALT I REQUESTED. I RESPONDED 6500 FT AND I BELIEVE HE SAID 'CLRED FOR 6500 FT; VFR ON COURSE.' I REQUESTED 4500 FT AFTER A SHORT WHILE TO GET MORE FAVORABLE WINDS. I CONTINUED WITH FLT FOLLOWING TO SOMEWHERE PAST SIOUX FALLS AND CTR SAID THEY WERE LOSING ME AND ASKED ME TO SQUAWK VFR WHICH I DID. THEN AS I NEARED ONL; I WAS CONTACTED BY A JET; COMMUNICATING BTWN ZMP AND ME; ASKING IF I HAD LANDED AND IF I WANTED CTR TO CANCEL MY IFR FLT PLAN. I INDICATED THAT I WAS NEAR O'NEILL; BUT HAD NOT LANDED AND THAT I WAS NOW ON A VFR NOT IFR FLT PLAN; BUT TO GO AHEAD AND TELL CTR TO CANCEL MY VFR FLT PLAN. UPON LNDG I PHONED COLUMBUS FSS AND CANCELED AS WELL.
