Narrative:
While departure teb on the teb 5 departure; runway 24; the SID requires a climb on runway heading to 1500 ft MSL then a turn to a heading of 280 degrees; maintain 1500 ft MSL until reaching the teb 4.5 DME; then climb to 2000 ft MSL. Complied with the runway heading to 1500 ft MSL and turned to heading of 280 degrees upon reaching 1500 ft MSL I climbed to 1650 ft MSL before reaching the 4.5 DME per the SID; but corrected back to 1500 ft MSL. Checking in with departure control; the controller cleared us to 6000 ft MSL and then stated we should review the SID as we were not to climb to 2000 ft MSL until reaching 4.5 DME. We explained we stopped at 1500 ft MSL.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A CE750 DEPARTING ON A TEB 5 DEP INITIATED CLB TO 1650 FT BEFORE THE 4.5 DME; THEN DSNDED TO 1500 FT.
Narrative: WHILE DEP TEB ON THE TEB 5 DEP; RWY 24; THE SID REQUIRES A CLB ON RWY HEADING TO 1500 FT MSL THEN A TURN TO A HEADING OF 280 DEGS; MAINTAIN 1500 FT MSL UNTIL REACHING THE TEB 4.5 DME; THEN CLB TO 2000 FT MSL. COMPLIED WITH THE RWY HEADING TO 1500 FT MSL AND TURNED TO HEADING OF 280 DEGS UPON REACHING 1500 FT MSL I CLBED TO 1650 FT MSL BEFORE REACHING THE 4.5 DME PER THE SID; BUT CORRECTED BACK TO 1500 FT MSL. CHKING IN WITH DEP CTL; THE CTLR CLRED US TO 6000 FT MSL AND THEN STATED WE SHOULD REVIEW THE SID AS WE WERE NOT TO CLB TO 2000 FT MSL UNTIL REACHING 4.5 DME. WE EXPLAINED WE STOPPED AT 1500 FT MSL.
