Narrative:
When door L1 was opened the slide pack retaining pin came loose. The first officer and I replaced pin. On return flight we put item in logbook to have maintenance check slide. I have done this many times in the past. The 2-SIDED pin slips out and must be reset. No safety of flight issue involved. Slide pack was not compromised. Would have functioned fine.
