Narrative:
Flight arrived at gate at XA08. Ramp reported dent found at left horizontal stabilizer leading edge approximately 6 ft outboard from fuselage. Mechanic working this item was reassigned to another aircraft before dent inspection was completed. Another mechanic was assigned to complete clean-up of damaged area. Measurement of dent was not completed and evaluation of damage also not complete. I assumed dent inspection was complete and in compliance with srm. Problem caused by a lack of communication and verbal turnover.
