Narrative:

During maximum thrust takeoff runway 05R at approximately 135 KTS (V2 156) we experienced a heavy jolt similar to driving too fast over a speed bump in a car. I would guess this was around the 3000 to 4000 ft remaining mark. I was compressed then light in the straps as the aircraft bucked over the 'buckle' in the surface. All the flight attendants could say was; 'what the - - - - was that?' all I could think of as it happened was: the passenger probably think we went off the runway. This is the worst surface distortion I have felt in over thirty years of flying. I recommend that an inspection be made to see what is going on with the runway in that area.callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter noted that in his experience; runway 05L is normally used for takeoffs. In the usual configuration; the right is used for lndgs. In this case; the right runway was required due to weight and balance configuration. The reporter stated the description of the location is only an estimate. Reporter stated their company has advised the airport and they will inspect the runway in response to the report.

Title: A B737-800 CAPT RPTS A DRAMATIC BUMP ON THE DEP END OF RWY 05R AT MMX.

Narrative: DURING MAX THRUST TKOF RWY 05R AT APPROX 135 KTS (V2 156) WE EXPERIENCED A HVY JOLT SIMILAR TO DRIVING TOO FAST OVER A SPEED BUMP IN A CAR. I WOULD GUESS THIS WAS AROUND THE 3000 TO 4000 FT REMAINING MARK. I WAS COMPRESSED THEN LIGHT IN THE STRAPS AS THE ACFT BUCKED OVER THE 'BUCKLE' IN THE SURFACE. ALL THE FLT ATTENDANTS COULD SAY WAS; 'WHAT THE - - - - WAS THAT?' ALL I COULD THINK OF AS IT HAPPENED WAS: THE PAX PROBABLY THINK WE WENT OFF THE RWY. THIS IS THE WORST SURFACE DISTORTION I HAVE FELT IN OVER THIRTY YEARS OF FLYING. I RECOMMEND THAT AN INSPECTION BE MADE TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE RWY IN THAT AREA.CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR NOTED THAT IN HIS EXPERIENCE; RWY 05L IS NORMALLY USED FOR TKOFS. IN THE USUAL CONFIGURATION; THE R IS USED FOR LNDGS. IN THIS CASE; THE R RWY WAS REQUIRED DUE TO WT AND BALANCE CONFIGURATION. THE RPTR STATED THE DESCRIPTION OF THE LOCATION IS ONLY AN ESTIMATE. RPTR STATED THEIR COMPANY HAS ADVISED THE ARPT AND THEY WILL INSPECT THE RWY IN RESPONSE TO THE RPT.
