Narrative:
During climb FL310 to FL320 encountered momentary moderate turbulence. Ride was smooth and had been reported smooth by ATC. We were 7-8 mi behind traffic 1000 ft above us and the winds aloft 10-15 KTS out of the south. We did not deviate from our course of altitude. Turbulence was a hard bump and a hard roll left then right. Flight attendant fell and hit the corner of her jumpseat injuring her tail bone. She was in the aft cabin.
