Narrative:
Parked the aircraft at gate setting the parking brake at XA44Z. Completed the parking checklist. Gathered up charts; headset; flight bag; and luggage. On exiting the flight deck was informed that the jetway had forcefully impacted the aircraft and that the passenger would need to be deplaned via air stairs. This was accomplished about 1 hour later without incident. All company departments were kept informed.

Title: A B747-400 WAS DAMAGED BY THE JETWAY AFTER PARKING AT THE GATE. PAX WERE DEPLANED WITHOUT INCIDENT USING AIR STAIRS.
Narrative: PARKED THE ACFT AT GATE SETTING THE PARKING BRAKE AT XA44Z. COMPLETED THE PARKING CHKLIST. GATHERED UP CHARTS; HEADSET; FLT BAG; AND LUGGAGE. ON EXITING THE FLT DECK WAS INFORMED THAT THE JETWAY HAD FORCEFULLY IMPACTED THE ACFT AND THAT THE PAX WOULD NEED TO BE DEPLANED VIA AIR STAIRS.
