Narrative:

Flight from ZZZ1 to ZZZ2 was planned for a flaps 15 degree takeoff and maximum power. I was conducting an atlantic re-qualification on a captain fairly new to the aircraft. During taxi out the load closeout was delayed. When the load arrived; the takeoff weight was lighter than the planned takeoff weight. When the takeoff data uplinked; standard power was indicated but the speeds were much higher than planned. Further examination indicated that the flaps had changed in the FMC. We reset the flaps back to 15 degrees in the FMC and corrected the power and V speeds. We were cleared for takeoff and applied power. We received a confign warning that was interpreted as a gear confign warning and it sent out as the aft began to track down the runway. The takeoff appeared normal and the initial climb was normal. As I later re-examined the odd FMC uplink; I realized that we might have possibly made the takeoff with an incorrect flap setting. Although I am not sure of this fact my awareness of this potential has caused me great concern.

Title: A B777 CHK AIRMAN RPTS A PRETKOF ACARS PERFORMANCE REVISION MAY HAVE CAUSED THE CREW TO SELECT AN INCORRECT TKOF FLAP SETTING CONFIGN.

Narrative: FLT FROM ZZZ1 TO ZZZ2 WAS PLANNED FOR A FLAPS 15 DEG TKOF AND MAX PWR. I WAS CONDUCTING AN ATLANTIC RE-QUALIFICATION ON A CAPT FAIRLY NEW TO THE ACFT. DURING TAXI OUT THE LOAD CLOSEOUT WAS DELAYED. WHEN THE LOAD ARRIVED; THE TKOF WT WAS LIGHTER THAN THE PLANNED TKOF WT. WHEN THE TKOF DATA UPLINKED; STANDARD PWR WAS INDICATED BUT THE SPDS WERE MUCH HIGHER THAN PLANNED. FURTHER EXAM INDICATED THAT THE FLAPS HAD CHANGED IN THE FMC. WE RESET THE FLAPS BACK TO 15 DEGS IN THE FMC AND CORRECTED THE PWR AND V SPDS. WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF AND APPLIED PWR. WE RECEIVED A CONFIGN WARNING THAT WAS INTERPED AS A GEAR CONFIGN WARNING AND IT SENT OUT AS THE AFT BEGAN TO TRACK DOWN THE RWY. THE TKOF APPEARED NORMAL AND THE INITIAL CLB WAS NORMAL. AS I LATER RE-EXAMINED THE ODD FMC UPLINK; I REALIZED THAT WE MIGHT HAVE POSSIBLY MADE THE TKOF WITH AN INCORRECT FLAP SETTING. ALTHOUGH I AM NOT SURE OF THIS FACT MY AWARENESS OF THIS POTENTIAL HAS CAUSED ME GREAT CONCERN.
