Narrative:
On jul/thu/06; myself and another mechanic removed and replaced all 4 girt bar assembly on time. Continued door slide/raft assemblies per all issued engineering order. This work was accomplished as bench work to be installed on the aircraft at a later date. All work was reviewed and signed off by inspection. Upon my return to work on aug/wed/06; I was informed that one of the slide/raft assembly was incorrectly assembled. This event took place on an airbus aircraft in a heavy check; where many job cards overlap and aircraft parts are staged for installation. I believe undocumented work may have been done to one or more of the slide/raft assembly in order to accomplish other routine work.

Narrative: ON JUL/THU/06; MYSELF AND ANOTHER MECH REMOVED AND REPLACED ALL 4 GIRT BAR ASSEMBLY ON TIME. CONTINUED DOOR SLIDE/RAFT ASSEMBLIES PER ALL ISSUED ENGINEERING ORDER. THIS WORK WAS ACCOMPLISHED AS BENCH WORK TO BE INSTALLED ON THE ACFT AT A LATER DATE. ALL WORK WAS REVIEWED AND SIGNED OFF BY INSPECTION. UPON MY RETURN TO WORK ON AUG/WED/06; I WAS INFORMED THAT ONE OF THE SLIDE/RAFT ASSEMBLY WAS INCORRECTLY ASSEMBLED. THIS EVENT TOOK PLACE ON AN AIRBUS ACFT IN A HVY CHK; WHERE MANY JOB CARDS OVERLAP AND ACFT PARTS ARE STAGED FOR INSTALLATION. I BELIEVE UNDOCUMENTED WORK MAY HAVE BEEN DONE TO ONE OR MORE OF THE SLIDE/RAFT ASSEMBLY IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH OTHER ROUTINE WORK.
