Narrative:
Departed dfw 6 mi in trail of B777. Shortly after takeoff at approximately 1200 ft; received a 'windshear; windshear' warning. Captain initiated escape maneuver and in doing so advanced throttles towards go around power and stated 'GA power.' I noted that the EPR needles were over the 1.97 EPR limit at about 2.05 and retarded the throttles to the EPR limit while calling out rate of climb; speed; and altitude to the captain. Exited the windshear event and began setting flight instruments to resume the departure SID and simultaneously switch to departure control. Notified departure of windshear event and heard the flight behind us saying he also encountered it. Called the tower back on #2 communication and told them about the event. Called dispatch desk en route so the captain could make the required report and arrange for maintenance. Contract maintenance met the flight and inspected the engines. The following day; the captain pulled the schedule which noted that the aircraft had been ferried and that the right engine had exceeded both egt and N1 limits for 3 seconds.

Title: MD80 EXCEEDS ENG LIMITATIONS DURING WINDSHEAR ESCAPE MANEUVER AT DFW.
Narrative: DEPARTED DFW 6 MI IN TRAIL OF B777. SHORTLY AFTER TKOF AT APPROX 1200 FT; RECEIVED A 'WINDSHEAR; WINDSHEAR' WARNING. CAPT INITIATED ESCAPE MANEUVER AND IN DOING SO ADVANCED THROTTLES TOWARDS GAR PWR AND STATED 'GA PWR.' I NOTED THAT THE EPR NEEDLES WERE OVER THE 1.97 EPR LIMIT AT ABOUT 2.05 AND RETARDED THE THROTTLES TO THE EPR LIMIT WHILE CALLING OUT RATE OF CLB; SPD; AND ALT TO THE CAPT. EXITED THE WINDSHEAR EVENT AND BEGAN SETTING FLT INSTS TO RESUME THE DEP SID AND SIMULTANEOUSLY SWITCH TO DEP CTL. NOTIFIED DEP OF WINDSHEAR EVENT AND HEARD THE FLT BEHIND US SAYING HE ALSO ENCOUNTERED IT. CALLED THE TWR BACK ON #2 COM AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE EVENT. CALLED DISPATCH DESK ENRTE SO THE CAPT COULD MAKE THE REQUIRED RPT AND ARRANGE FOR MAINT. CONTRACT MAINT MET THE FLT AND INSPECTED THE ENGS. THE FOLLOWING DAY; THE CAPT PULLED THE SCHEDULE WHICH NOTED THAT THE ACFT HAD BEEN FERRIED AND THAT THE R ENG HAD EXCEEDED BOTH EGT AND N1 LIMITS FOR 3 SECONDS.
