Narrative:
I was working riv lo/D26. During this time frame; htza was VFR tower; then ATC zero; requiring ZID to assume the airspace. At approximately XX04; aircraft 1 requested VFR flight following; as workload permitted. Aircraft #1 was issued a beacon code. Numerous control instructions to other aircraft followed. At XX07 aircraft #1 called mayday and requested the nearest airport. Aircraft was instructed to identify to confirm position of discrete code. Aircraft was given position information on pmh airport. Aircraft #1 was re-issued position on pmh in reference to yrk VOR. At XX09 aircraft #1 verified the airport in sight and was asked if 'further assistance was required.' ATC relayed the pmh unicom frequency to aircraft #1. ATC sent another aircraft over to pmh unicom frequency to check on aircraft #1. At XA14 ATC was advised that aircraft #1 had made an 'off field landing;' but that the pilot was ok and was requesting assistance. This information was relayed to hta tower who notified state police and ambulance service.

Title: A VFR EXPERIMENTAL ACFT RECEIVING FLT FOLLOWING SVCS FROM ZOB ARTCC CALLED MAYDAY AND REQUESTED LNDG AT THE NEAREST ARPT. THE ACFT WAS VECTORED TOWARDS PMH ARPT; BUT MADE AN OFF FIELD LNDG INSTEAD.
Narrative: I WAS WORKING RIV LO/D26. DURING THIS TIME FRAME; HTZA WAS VFR TWR; THEN ATC ZERO; REQUIRING ZID TO ASSUME THE AIRSPACE. AT APPROX XX04; ACFT 1 REQUESTED VFR FLT FOLLOWING; AS WORKLOAD PERMITTED. ACFT #1 WAS ISSUED A BEACON CODE. NUMEROUS CTL INSTRUCTIONS TO OTHER ACFT FOLLOWED. AT XX07 ACFT #1 CALLED MAYDAY AND REQUESTED THE NEAREST ARPT. ACFT WAS INSTRUCTED TO IDENT TO CONFIRM POS OF DISCRETE CODE. ACFT WAS GIVEN POS INFO ON PMH ARPT. ACFT #1 WAS RE-ISSUED POS ON PMH IN REF TO YRK VOR. AT XX09 ACFT #1 VERIFIED THE ARPT IN SIGHT AND WAS ASKED IF 'FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS REQUIRED.' ATC RELAYED THE PMH UNICOM FREQ TO ACFT #1. ATC SENT ANOTHER ACFT OVER TO PMH UNICOM FREQ TO CHK ON ACFT #1. AT XA14 ATC WAS ADVISED THAT ACFT #1 HAD MADE AN 'OFF FIELD LNDG;' BUT THAT THE PLT WAS OK AND WAS REQUESTING ASSISTANCE. THIS INFO WAS RELAYED TO HTA TWR WHO NOTIFIED STATE POLICE AND AMBULANCE SVC.
