Narrative:
Safety briefing video that was shown on an air carrier B737-800 was incorrect. The video showed the detailed emergency procedures (evacuate/evacuation rtes and exit locations) for a B757 aircraft. I briefly noticed the error and since the video replayed with the spanish version; I watched closely. The video showed: 1) the safety card for a B757 (at the start of the video). 2) the exit locations for a B757. 3) the escape paths for a B757. I notified the first class flight attendant of this error shortly after takeoff. She pulled both tapes and said 'yes they are a B757 tape...hmmm how did they get on a B737?' I do not know if it was reported internally...but I felt it important to report here. This plane had arrived in ZZZ1 from ZZZ and then turned around to be the ZZZ1-ZZZ flight I was on so the tapes were used on at least 1 additional flight. Apparently the flight attendant staff never had looked at the tapes while they were being played. No subsequent announcement to the passenger was made of the error and the actual locations for emergency egress. This in my opinion (a passenger) is a serious issue should an emergency arise and passenger need to evacuate/evacuation. The video presents exit locations where there are no exits on this plane. In an emergency; would passenger remember the video and try and locate these non existent exit locations? Air carrier needs to audit their on-board safety video 'distribution' and validation process.

Title: A PAX NOTES THAT THE PRE TKOF SAFETY VIDEO SHOWN ON A B737-800 WAS FOR A B757.
Narrative: SAFETY BRIEFING VIDEO THAT WAS SHOWN ON AN ACR B737-800 WAS INCORRECT. THE VIDEO SHOWED THE DETAILED EMER PROCS (EVAC RTES AND EXIT LOCATIONS) FOR A B757 ACFT. I NOTIFIED THE FIRST CLASS FLT ATTENDANT OF THIS ERROR SHORTLY AFTER TKOF. SHE PULLED BOTH TAPES AND SAID 'YES THEY ARE A B757 TAPE...HMMM HOW DID THEY GET ON A B737?' I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WAS REPORTED INTERNALLY...BUT I FELT IT IMPORTANT TO REPORT HERE. THIS PLANE HAD ARRIVED IN ZZZ1 FROM ZZZ AND THEN TURNED AROUND TO BE THE ZZZ1-ZZZ FLT I WAS ON SO THE TAPES WERE USED ON AT LEAST 1 ADDITIONAL FLT. APPARENTLY THE FLT ATTENDANT STAFF NEVER HAD LOOKED AT THE TAPES WHILE THEY WERE BEING PLAYED. NO SUBSEQUENT ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE PAX WAS MADE OF THE ERROR AND THE ACTUAL LOCATIONS FOR EMER EGRESS. THIS IN MY OPINION (A PAX) IS A SERIOUS ISSUE SHOULD AN EMER ARISE AND PAX NEED TO EVAC. THE VIDEO PRESENTS EXIT LOCATIONS WHERE THERE ARE NO EXITS ON THIS PLANE. IN AN EMER; WOULD PAX REMEMBER THE VIDEO AND TRY AND LOCATE THESE NON EXISTENT EXIT LOCATIONS? ACR NEEDS TO AUDIT THEIR ON-BOARD SAFETY VIDEO 'DISTRIBUTION' AND VALIDATION PROCESS.
