Narrative:
Assigned a SID from lax to sea that had a speed restr of 250 KIAS until advised. We use electronic departure plates and the crew missed the note; limiting the speed. After passing 10000 ft in the climb; we accelerated in the climb which caused our separation to reduce. Upon notification; we immediately decelerated. I believe we were still close enough to lax where separation minimums were 3 NM. Apart from this being the crew's fault for not noticing the speed note; the situation was exacerbated because the electronic chart screen is small requiring continuous zooming and scrolling to read all notes. This one was missed. Until an electronic chart tablet is purchased that is larger; will be more diligent in scanning information.
