Narrative:
I was installing a dustcover repair on corner of cowling. This is the same repair I was trained to do since I began repairs on this item for approximately 7 yrs. FAA inspector asked me to show him the specific repair in srm (structural repair manual). I was unable to find the specific repair I was trained to do. I was only able to find general repairs for this area. I am unsure of the srm general repair covering the repair I've been doing. I contacted an engineer and was told they are making a repair more specific to this area.
