Narrative:
Flight plan was filed as mia..dhp.J616.lbv...the clearance was mia dhp J616 lbv....then WINCO1. The flight plan usually has the departure and arrival in the header. We both missed the special messages attached to the flight plan. On departure we were given a heading and then cleared to an intersection on the WINCO1 which I told them we did not have. ATC gave us another heading to intercept the winco transition. We both did not have the WINCO1 in our publications. Neither one of us had the latest publications in our mail boxes. I had looked in the commercial charts but found no WINCO1; since it was the same routing on the flight plan and clearance; I assumed it was programmed in the FMS. The buck stops here and I was wrong.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A B777 FLT CREW DEPARTING MIA DEVIATED FROM THE CHARTED TRACK BECAUSE THEY MISSED THE WINCO1 DEP REFERENCE IN THE PDC. WHEN DEP CTL MENTIONED THE WINCO1 DEP; THEY FOUND NEITHER PLT HAD THE WINCO1 DEP IN THEIR CHARTS.
Narrative: FLT PLAN WAS FILED AS MIA..DHP.J616.LBV...THE CLRNC WAS MIA DHP J616 LBV....THEN WINCO1. THE FLT PLAN USUALLY HAS THE DEP AND ARR IN THE HEADER. WE BOTH MISSED THE SPECIAL MESSAGES ATTACHED TO THE FLT PLAN. ON DEP WE WERE GIVEN A HDG AND THEN CLRED TO AN INTXN ON THE WINCO1 WHICH I TOLD THEM WE DID NOT HAVE. ATC GAVE US ANOTHER HDG TO INTERCEPT THE WINCO TRANSITION. WE BOTH DID NOT HAVE THE WINCO1 IN OUR PUBLICATIONS. NEITHER ONE OF US HAD THE LATEST PUBLICATIONS IN OUR MAIL BOXES. I HAD LOOKED IN THE COMMERCIAL CHARTS BUT FOUND NO WINCO1; SINCE IT WAS THE SAME ROUTING ON THE FLT PLAN AND CLRNC; I ASSUMED IT WAS PROGRAMMED IN THE FMS. THE BUCK STOPS HERE AND I WAS WRONG.
