Narrative:
Shortly after liftoff we received an ACARS message from dispatch. We did not respond until after cleaning up the aircraft and climbing to a safe altitude. The dispatch message said to call operations immediately. I attempted contact and dispatch responded. He stated that the operations agent had added 2000 pounds to our takeoff weight; thereby putting us above ATOG. ATOG was 131.0 pounds; and our paperwork showed 129.7 pounds. If you add 2000 pounds; our takeoff weight was 131.7 pounds; or 700 pounds over ATOG. The loading schedule we had received had no errors; but were told ramp gave the agent an updated weight after we had already left the gate. We added 2000 pounds to the zero fuel weight and continued to destination without further incident. Better coordination between ramp and the operations agent.
