Narrative:
The FMS was evidently not programmed correctly or it dropped out on departure. When given the first fix; it was not in the FMS as well as the next. Check the history page and it was not there. By the time we got the first fix in the FMS; we had past it by a couple of mi. When questioned by ATC. We were given a heading so we could get the FMS reprogrammed. No further incident noted.

Title: CL65 FLT CREW FAIL TO PROGRAM DEP INTO FMS. MINOR TRACK DEV RESULTS.
Narrative: THE FMS WAS EVIDENTLY NOT PROGRAMMED CORRECTLY OR IT DROPPED OUT ON DEP. WHEN GIVEN THE FIRST FIX; IT WAS NOT IN THE FMS AS WELL AS THE NEXT. CHK THE HISTORY PAGE AND IT WAS NOT THERE. BY THE TIME WE GOT THE FIRST FIX IN THE FMS; WE HAD PAST IT BY A COUPLE OF MI. WHEN QUESTIONED BY ATC. WE WERE GIVEN A HDG SO WE COULD GET THE FMS REPROGRAMMED. NO FURTHER INCIDENT NOTED.
