Narrative:
Clearance from dfw to msy was clare 2 swb btr. When I entered the clearance space into the FMS; I saw that the clare 2 was in and also saw swb. Somehow; swb was not set up as a transitional segment. When we went through the flight plan; it appeared to both of us to be correct. In flight this made us drop the tekbe intersection. I am not sure how this happened. We did everything we could to ensure that the clearance was correct in the FMS. I do not know if it was an entry error or not.
