Narrative:
Cedar creek arrival with runway 17C in FMS. On arrival between tacke intersection and dietz intersection approach advised us that runway 17C now closed and to plan on runway 17L. Entered 17L into FMS. Dietz intersection momentarily dropped off map display. Aircraft began to fly directly to hornz waypoint putting us slightly right of course. As we reentered dietz back into FMS; approach advised us that we were right of course and to turn to a heading of 330 degrees. This illustrates the importance of confirming any changes to the FMS between both pilots before executing. Remainder of flight uneventful and normal.
