Narrative:
The floor of class B airspace between the fll 255 degree and 275 degree radial from 10-20 DME is too high. As a result jet/commuter turboprops arriving on fll runway 9R encounter multiple VFR aircraft often causing RA's or traffic alerts. This is a safety hazard because the controller is forced to use altitudes that go right through a VFR practice area. If the floor of class B airspace was pushed down to 2000 ft this problem would no longer exist.

Title: MIA CTLR EXPRESSED CONCERN REGARDING THE MIA CLASS B PARAMETERS AND VFR TFC ENCOUNTERED BY FLL ARR TFC.
Narrative: THE FLOOR OF CLASS B AIRSPACE BTWN THE FLL 255 DEG AND 275 DEG RADIAL FROM 10-20 DME IS TOO HIGH. AS A RESULT JET/COMMUTER TURBOPROPS ARRIVING ON FLL RWY 9R ENCOUNTER MULTIPLE VFR ACFT OFTEN CAUSING RA'S OR TFC ALERTS. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE THE CTLR IS FORCED TO USE ALTS THAT GO RIGHT THROUGH A VFR PRACTICE AREA. IF THE FLOOR OF CLASS B AIRSPACE WAS PUSHED DOWN TO 2000 FT THIS PROB WOULD NO LONGER EXIST.
