Narrative:

On departure from teb on the teb 5 departure runway 24; after climbing to 1500 ft on runway heading we turned 295 degrees and climbed to 2000 ft before the 4.5 DME fix. We leveled at 2000 ft and were told that we had violated the SID.

Title: CITATION CE560 FLT CREW HAS AN ALT DEV DURING THE TEB DEP.

Narrative: ON DEP FROM TEB ON THE TEB 5 DEP RWY 24; AFTER CLBING TO 1500 FT ON RWY HEADING WE TURNED 295 DEGS AND CLBED TO 2000 FT BEFORE THE 4.5 DME FIX. WE LEVELED AT 2000 FT AND WERE TOLD THAT WE HAD VIOLATED THE SID.
