Narrative:
On the approach into cvg; we deployed the flight spoilers and received the outboard spoileron and outboard flight spoilers caution messages. I had this identical problem on another aircraft last month and was familiar with the QRH procedure. The first officer performed the QRH procedure which included adding 20% to our landing distance. However; this was the procedure for the outboard flight spoiler caution. The procedure for spoileron states to add 20% and pick a runway with the least crosswind. This procedure is printed on the page on the other side of the temporary revision. We added 20% but did not land on the runway with least crosswind (runway 27). The landing was uneventful. We made this error because we had limited time prior to landing and I did not request a vector off of the approach. I felt that since we were on the approach; it was safe to continue since I had experienced this problem a month before. I thought the temporary revision may have removed the requirement to land into the wind. In the future; I plan to request a delay vector if presented with these circumstances. This way we will have more time to ensure all procedures are followed (and we can back each other up with the added time).

Title: CRJ700 FLT CREW HAS SPOILER FAIL MESSAGE ON FINAL AND LANDS.
Narrative: ON THE APCH INTO CVG; WE DEPLOYED THE FLT SPOILERS AND RECEIVED THE OUTBOARD SPOILERON AND OUTBOARD FLT SPOILERS CAUTION MESSAGES. I HAD THIS IDENTICAL PROB ON ANOTHER ACFT LAST MONTH AND WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE QRH PROC. THE FO PERFORMED THE QRH PROC WHICH INCLUDED ADDING 20% TO OUR LNDG DISTANCE. HOWEVER; THIS WAS THE PROC FOR THE OUTBOARD FLT SPOILER CAUTION. THE PROC FOR SPOILERON STATES TO ADD 20% AND PICK A RWY WITH THE LEAST XWIND. THIS PROC IS PRINTED ON THE PAGE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TEMPORARY REVISION. WE ADDED 20% BUT DID NOT LAND ON THE RWY WITH LEAST XWIND (RWY 27). THE LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL. WE MADE THIS ERROR BECAUSE WE HAD LIMITED TIME PRIOR TO LNDG AND I DID NOT REQUEST A VECTOR OFF OF THE APCH. I FELT THAT SINCE WE WERE ON THE APCH; IT WAS SAFE TO CONTINUE SINCE I HAD EXPERIENCED THIS PROB A MONTH BEFORE. I THOUGHT THE TEMPORARY REVISION MAY HAVE REMOVED THE REQUIREMENT TO LAND INTO THE WIND. IN THE FUTURE; I PLAN TO REQUEST A DELAY VECTOR IF PRESENTED WITH THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS WAY WE WILL HAVE MORE TIME TO ENSURE ALL PROCS ARE FOLLOWED (AND WE CAN BACK EACH OTHER UP WITH THE ADDED TIME).
