Narrative:
We were informed that 2 fuel pumps were replaced and we were good to go. On arrival at ZZZ1 a team of mechanics met us and informed us our aircraft was OTS due to debris in the fuel filter. This should have been checked before we departed ZZZ; but I have to assume they didn't have the parts or people to do the job if they found something bad so they just didn't look. So they had me fly an unairworthy aircraft to a maintenance base.
