Narrative:
Aircraft arrived with a crew deferral on the anti-skid system 32-2; in the process of changing it to a maintenance deferral I used the MEL as my reference. Paragraph 'G' says '...install additional placard near speed brake lever...' I pulled and placed a collar on the autospeed brake circuit breaker as per paragraph 'a' of MEL 27-7. Later after the plane left; I was told by maintenance control that the circuit breaker should not have been pulled. I feel that if I install a placard with MEL 27-7 written on it then I am saying I complied with all the maintenance actions that MEL calls for.
