Narrative:
The fueler shorted us fuel at the gate. 20.0 was the minimum. We called this into operations and they suggested we call it 20.0 and lie about having the correct fuel. I repeated to them that the minimum was 20.0 and fueling was required. This was totally unprofessional and unethical. Operations should never ask a flight crew to lie; and they should follow procedures.

Narrative: THE FUELER SHORTED US FUEL AT THE GATE. 20.0 WAS THE MINIMUM. WE CALLED THIS INTO OPS AND THEY SUGGESTED WE CALL IT 20.0 AND LIE ABOUT HAVING THE CORRECT FUEL. I REPEATED TO THEM THAT THE MINIMUM WAS 20.0 AND FUELING WAS REQUIRED. THIS WAS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL. OPS SHOULD NEVER ASK A FLT CREW TO LIE; AND THEY SHOULD FOLLOW PROCS.
