Narrative:
I was the captain on a learjet 45; air carrier X; on a flight to ict. I was on kansas city center frequency as well as another company airplane (air carrier Y). We (air carrier X) were given a descent to FL340 and responded with our full call sign. The copilot who was the PF; began the descent and at approximately FL382 we received a 'TA.' the copilot leveled at FL380 and a B737 passed directly below us at FL370. I queried ATC that we had been cleared to FL340 and ATC advised to maintain FL380. Nothing else was said by ATC in respect to our clearance to FL340. We continued on to ict without further incident. Once on the ground at ict I contacted a manager at kansas city center and advised him of the situation and asked for an explanation. After pulling the ATC tapes the manager at kc center advised me that the controller had gotten our aircraft (air carrier X) and our other company aircraft on frequency (air carrier Y) mixed up. We (air carrier X) were given an incorrect clearance to FL340 by the controller.
