Narrative:
Takeoff runway xxr ZZZ. Heavy weight. Had been deiced due to light freezing rain (aircraft overnight ZZZ). Runways were clean. When #1 aircraft on final went around due to microburst alert for runway xxrl. Flex power planned; maximum power select due to possible microburst. Visibility was dropping to approximately 1 mi fairly rapidly. After about 100 KTS takeoff warning horn 'stabilizer' sounded. Moved trim several times more toward exact center of green band (usually corrects problem); but warning still stayed on. We were still approximately 30 KTS below V1 and had approximately 9000 ft of good runway ahead of me. Due to being unsure of trim position and above WX conditions; I decided to abort the takeoff. Aborted in accordance with procedures; no automatic-spoilers. Slowed down easily in remaining runway and turned off and asked for assistance with possible hot brakes. After brakes were checked out by arff returned to gate (as requested by maintenance to high speed abort inspection and check out trim system). When aircraft cleared by maintenance; completed trip.

Title: AN MD80 FLT CREW CHOSE TO REJECT TKOF WHEN THEY RECEIVED A STABILIZER WARNING HORN 30 KTS BELOW V1.
Narrative: TKOF RWY XXR ZZZ. HVY WT. HAD BEEN DEICED DUE TO LIGHT FREEZING RAIN (ACFT OVERNIGHT ZZZ). RWYS WERE CLEAN. WHEN #1 ACFT ON FINAL WENT AROUND DUE TO MICROBURST ALERT FOR RWY XXRL. FLEX PWR PLANNED; MAX PWR SELECT DUE TO POSSIBLE MICROBURST. VISIBILITY WAS DROPPING TO APPROX 1 MI FAIRLY RAPIDLY. AFTER ABOUT 100 KTS TKOF WARNING HORN 'STABILIZER' SOUNDED. MOVED TRIM SEVERAL TIMES MORE TOWARD EXACT CTR OF GREEN BAND (USUALLY CORRECTS PROB); BUT WARNING STILL STAYED ON. WE WERE STILL APPROX 30 KTS BELOW V1 AND HAD APPROX 9000 FT OF GOOD RWY AHEAD OF ME. DUE TO BEING UNSURE OF TRIM POS AND ABOVE WX CONDITIONS; I DECIDED TO ABORT THE TKOF. ABORTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROCS; NO AUTO-SPOILERS. SLOWED DOWN EASILY IN REMAINING RWY AND TURNED OFF AND ASKED FOR ASSISTANCE WITH POSSIBLE HOT BRAKES. AFTER BRAKES WERE CHKED OUT BY ARFF RETURNED TO GATE (AS REQUESTED BY MAINT TO HIGH SPD ABORT INSPECTION AND CHK OUT TRIM SYS). WHEN ACFT CLRED BY MAINT; COMPLETED TRIP.
