Narrative:
After takeoff; we got a left #1 wing body overheat light. The wing a/I was never in use. We ran the QRH and the light extinguished after a few mins. We declared an emergency and prepared for a precautionary divert. Accomplished emergency landing checklist and advised flight attendants. Visual approach. No further problems. Maintenance inspected all ducting for leakage and did a bite check. A loose clamp at the wing anti-ice was found. With APU bleed air and left pack on and wing anti-ice on; no overheat was noted. We then performed a ground engine run at 82% N1 for 2.5 mins off gate and no overheat noted. After departing climbing through FL170 again with no wing or engine anti-ice; we again got a left wing-body overheat light. Ran the QRH and light went out. With the concurrence of technician; we proceeded to destination at FL240; left pack off; engine #1 bleed off and isolation valve closed. We remained clear of icing conditions. Cruise; descent and landing was uneventful. Entered repeat item in the logbook for follow up.
