Narrative:
Entered 'intermittent idg #1' in the aircraft maintenance log. Maintenance inspected the aircraft and performed MEL X integrated drive generators (idg) and signed off aircraft. Flew without incident. Days later discovered subsequent crew who flew aircraft and was informed maintenance personnel performed incorrect MEL. MEL X integrated drive generators constant speed drives should have been the correct MEL to perform.
