Narrative:
On takeoff roll; autothrottle failed to engage when selected during takeoff roll. Engine power was set manually; and monitored to ensure proper setting. Attempted to switch DFGS from #2 and #1 and to reengage the autothrottle. The autothrottle did not reengage on the #1 DFGS. However the art fired. Continued takeoff and flight uneventfully. Autothrottle worked normal during flight.
