Narrative:
We were being marshalled into the gate in atl. We had a lead marshaller and a wing walker on each wingtip. I was watching the right side of the aircraft; but for some reason had turned to look forward when I felt the aircraft rock. The lead marshaller and wing walker (after the plane hit a baggage cart with the right wingtip) signaled us to stop. I am usually very vigilant with the right wing on taxi in; but was lulled into a sense of security by the wing walker. From my angle the baggage cart didn't seem overly close and I assumed that we weren't going to be taxiing further forward. In the future; I will watch the right side until a complete stop. The captain wrote up the damage. A mechanic inspected the plane and stated it was 'cosmetic' damage; not structural and the plane was returned to service.
