Narrative:
Passing 10000 ft on departure; got generator bus #2 fault; ECAM; with associated electrical failures. Performed the ECAM; did not restore initially. Performed the ECAM again; restored. Then FAC2 fault occurred. Performed the ECAM; did not restore initially; performed again; restored. First officer was hand flying during entire flight. Leveled off at 12000 ft; got vectors 180 degrees; speed 250 KTS. Worked the problem; tried to contact dispatch; to no avail. ACARS messages sent to dispatch twice and to maintenance once. Only response was from dispatch acknowledging our return to den and a later response asking for our status (overweight; emergency; any help needed; etc). I replied aircraft is ok and will call at the gate. I never declared an emergency and was not given any emergency handling. We ran our checklists; got the aircraft prepared for a normal visual landing on runway 35L at den. Normal communications between flight attendants and pilots. PA announcement to passenger stating that we had electrical malfunctions and would return to den; landing in approximately 12-15 mins. Normal landing and taxi to gate. Aircraft had a recent history of IDG2 failures.

Title: A319 FLT CREW HAS MULTIPLE GENERATOR; FLT CTL MALFUNCTIONS; DIVERTS FOR LNDG.
Narrative: PASSING 10000 FT ON DEP; GOT GENERATOR BUS #2 FAULT; ECAM; WITH ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL FAILURES. PERFORMED THE ECAM; DID NOT RESTORE INITIALLY. PERFORMED THE ECAM AGAIN; RESTORED. THEN FAC2 FAULT OCCURRED. PERFORMED THE ECAM; DID NOT RESTORE INITIALLY; PERFORMED AGAIN; RESTORED. FO WAS HAND FLYING DURING ENTIRE FLT. LEVELED OFF AT 12000 FT; GOT VECTORS 180 DEGS; SPD 250 KTS. I NEVER DECLARED AN EMER AND WAS NOT GIVEN ANY EMER HANDLING. WE RAN OUR CHKLISTS; GOT THE ACFT PREPARED FOR A NORMAL VISUAL LNDG ON RWY 35L AT DEN. NORMAL COMS BTWN FLT ATTENDANTS AND PLTS. PA ANNOUNCEMENT TO PAX STATING THAT WE HAD ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS AND WOULD RETURN TO DEN; LNDG IN APPROX 12-15 MINS. NORMAL LNDG AND TAXI TO GATE. ACFT HAD A RECENT HISTORY OF IDG2 FAILURES.
