Narrative:

On glider tow and after departing the pattern towards the west; a near collision occurred at approximately 7500 ft MSL approximately 4 mi southwest of mev. The A36 approached from approximately our 4 O'clock position. The A36 was not visually acquired until less than approximately .5 NM. Glider released from tow plane and initiated a climb; while the A36 appeared to initiate 90 degree angle of bank after apparent acquisition of traffic. A36 turned to the left in order to avoid glider/tow plane. Engine sound of A36 was heard; along with wake 'bump' felt in G-103. Estimated miss distance of less than 10 ft. Both tow plane; glider; and A36 were up on the local CTAF 122.8 (checked in with each other after the incident). No aircraft beforehand felt the traffic reporting position presented a collision threat.
