Narrative:
On glider tow and after departing the pattern towards the west; a near collision occurred at approximately 7500 ft MSL approximately 4 mi southwest of mev. The A36 approached from approximately our 4 O'clock position. The A36 was not visually acquired until less than approximately .5 NM. Glider released from tow plane and initiated a climb; while the A36 appeared to initiate 90 degree angle of bank after apparent acquisition of traffic. A36 turned to the left in order to avoid glider/tow plane. Engine sound of A36 was heard; along with wake 'bump' felt in G-103. Estimated miss distance of less than 10 ft. Both tow plane; glider; and A36 were up on the local CTAF 122.8 (checked in with each other after the incident). No aircraft beforehand felt the traffic reporting position presented a collision threat.

Title: A G103 GLIDER RPTS AN NMAC WITH AN A36 SHORTLY AFTER RELEASING FROM THE TOW PLANE NEAR MEV AT 7500 FT.
Narrative: ON GLIDER TOW AND AFTER DEPARTING THE PATTERN TOWARDS THE W; A NEAR COLLISION OCCURRED AT APPROX 7500 FT MSL APPROX 4 MI SW OF MEV. THE A36 APCHED FROM APPROX OUR 4 O'CLOCK POS. THE A36 WAS NOT VISUALLY ACQUIRED UNTIL LESS THAN APPROX .5 NM. GLIDER RELEASED FROM TOW PLANE AND INITIATED A CLB; WHILE THE A36 APPEARED TO INITIATE 90 DEG ANGLE OF BANK AFTER APPARENT ACQUISITION OF TFC. A36 TURNED TO THE L IN ORDER TO AVOID GLIDER/TOW PLANE. ENG SOUND OF A36 WAS HEARD; ALONG WITH WAKE 'BUMP' FELT IN G-103. ESTIMATED MISS DISTANCE OF LESS THAN 10 FT. BOTH TOW PLANE; GLIDER; AND A36 WERE UP ON THE LCL CTAF 122.8 (CHKED IN WITH EACH OTHER AFTER THE INCIDENT). NO ACFT BEFOREHAND FELT THE TFC RPTING POS PRESENTED A COLLISION THREAT.
