Narrative:
I was working arrival west (arw) during the start of the afternoon arrival push. There were still a number of departures in line for runways 36L/36R; so all of my arrs were being vectored to runway 36C. I overheard the supervisor talking to the final controller and instructing him to start vectoring arrs to the 'outboard' runways (36L/36R). The supervisor did not specifically mention this change to me. I inquired as to what runways we were now using; and I was informed 'the outboard' runways. After waiting several mins for the stars system data area to change and reflect this new confign; I listened to the ATIS; but the ATIS was still indicating runway 36C as the only landing runway. So; once again mem is advertising one set of runways on the ATIS; another set of runways in the stars system data; and only half of us are being verbally informed as to the change. This happens all the time.
