The r-hand engine thrust reverser aft cowling was damaged by a removed tire that was changed. The aircraft was taken OTS and ZZZ engineering issued a repair work order. The repair work order was performed per authority/authorized.

Title: A B737-800 R ENG THRUST REVERSER COWLING WAS DAMAGED BY A REMOVED WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY DURING A TIRE AND WHEEL REPLACEMENT.
Narrative: THE R-HAND ENG THRUST REVERSER AFT COWLING WAS DAMAGED BY A REMOVED TIRE THAT WAS CHANGED. THE ACFT WAS TAKEN OTS AND ZZZ ENGINEERING ISSUED A REPAIR WORK ORDER. THE REPAIR WORK ORDER WAS PERFORMED PER AUTH.
