Narrative:
On feb/xa/07 I was the lead at the line during my shift. Aircraft reported possible delamination on the l-hand wing outboard aileron. It was chaotic work wise so I took it upon myself and went out to the aircraft. I performed the inspection of the aileron. At this time the only thing I found was missing paint on the aileron. I contacted maintenance for a deferred authority/authorized and spoke to maintenance. We deferred the missing paint per an engineering technical notice for 3 days. The honeycomb was found to be in 1 piece. No separation was found at time of deferral of missing paint. This day ramp was performing deice on aircraft at ramp. I got a call this morning by my fellow lead informing to do a report. I was informed that the aileron had delaminated during the 3 day time-frame for the time deferred maintenance item. I informed during the time of inspection no delamination was found only paint missing; since deicing was being performed that day it's most likely possible that the aileron delaminated afterwards during its schedule in and out of ZZZ.

Title: AN SF340 WAS RPTED TO HAVE L WING OUTBOARD AILERON DELAMINATION. CHKED BY LEAD TECHNICIAN AND FOUND NO DELAMINATION. 2 DAYS LATER DURING PREPARATION FOR PAINTING DELAMINATION WAS DISCOVERED ON THE AILERON.
