Narrative:

Improper count by gate agents in las who passed incorrect information on to load planners. Failure by load planners to catch such a big discrepancy. We didn't catch it because the gate agent had told us earlier that they had put several passengers on the previous flight which had departed very late also. We received the load closeout which stated that we had 80 people along with a new tps seconds prior to pushback. We input the zero fuel weight and cg and stabilizer settings. Flight departed and seemed normal. We received a cell call about an hour later in which the dispatcher informed us that the closeout numbers were wrong and the actual count was 104 passengers. We adjusted the zero fuel weight and the cg setting and continued the flight. Cg was around a 1 degree difference and the zero fuel weight was around 4500 pounds more. Flight continued uneventfully.
