Narrative:
I was advised of an ill passenger approximately 30 mins prior to landing. After talking with the #1 flight attendant; I decided to declare an emergency and proceed on for landing at XXX. We advised XXX operations and dispatch of the situation; and requested paramedics meet the flight. The passenger was a male; 75 yrs old with pre-existing medical conditions. We landed at XXX proceeded to the gate; and were met by paramedics that removed the passenger from the flight.

Title: A300-600 DECLARES EMERGENCY TO EXPEDITE ARRIVAL DUE TO ILL PAX.
Narrative: I WAS ADVISED OF AN ILL PAX APPROX 30 MINS PRIOR TO LNDG. AFTER TALKING WITH THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT; I DECIDED TO DECLARE AN EMER AND PROCEED ON FOR LNDG AT XXX.
