Narrative:

The captain and I took off runway 24 at teb via teb 5 departure. As per operation specifications we the crew briefed the departure for full understanding. After takeoff we climbed to 1500 ft MSL on runway heading at which time the departure calls for a turn to 280 degrees; I looked down to locate heading bug knob to turn to new heading at which time I heard the captain (acting as sic) state 'watch your altitude' while he pushed forward on yoke. Looking at altitude we were through 1700 ft MSL. After apexing we descended and leveled back at 1500 ft MSL.
